Cannot be happier and prouder today to see the enthusiasm in the young kids supporting BCH & the cause. Samruthaa attended the youth ambassador mentoring workshop on Cancer awareness & early detection on July 29, 2020. I was surprised to learn that she was so moved that she planned a fundraiser (yard sale) along with her friends, creating artwork, DIY keychains, donating books & toys. The team raised $374 and 100% of the donation will be driven for the cause.

Webinar 30th August, BCH Scientific Writer Interns as Speakers. It was an amazing session & the students exceled in their presentation. We received wondeful feedback from our esteemed guests & parents - here are few of them… “very enlightening & wonderful presentations by everyone-kudos to all”, informaitonal”, “covered so many topics so well”, “learned a lot today”, “awesome job”, “excellent, amazing presentations by everyone”, “privileged to be part of such informative session”, “such a wonderful job” , “Thank you Dr Roy for giving the opportunity for the children to learn & understand the nuances of cancer” , “Great mentor & mentees”… etc”.

I am so proud to mentor the amazing 18 students. They did justice to how I wanted to shape the paper so that we can translate the valuable information to our community in layman terms & also bring into limelight the global data equally focusing on the developing world.

2 month internshi: We announce our Breast Cancer Hub Summer Interns- Digital Marketing, Strategic Planning & Management Leads.

It was great interviewing each candidate on one-on-one basis on July 8th and learning more about their experiences & potential. Our kick off meeting & mentoring session was on 13th July (giving the framework, timeline for subsequent mentoring sessions & presentations in addition to the guidance). It was our immense privilege to have Julie Daugherty & Sandeep Roy, our Board of Directors, providing their expertise and insights to our students during the meeting.
