Graduated medical school, MD from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, India and completed my master’s in Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the George Washington University in 2004. After graduation worked as post doc fellow in Anesthesiology at NYU Medical Center, I worked on various projects at NYU to improve the quality of care and patient safety. These activities support the hospitals obligations to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare. In my current role as Director of Clinical Informatics at CBWCHC, I support primary care services to underserved population and see how technology can help achieve these patient centered Medical Home (PCMH) goals faster. We are level 3 PCMH and strive to provide the best Quality of care for our patients. Expertise in EMR implementation, lab interfaces, improving clinical workflows, Clinical interoperability between different organizations, data standards like HL7, Value based care and risk based contracts with insurance companies.

I am very passionate about clinical research and especially oncology. During my MPH at GWU, I worked on Breast cancer research comparing Inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) vs. Locally advanced breast cancer (LABC). Identified T3 and T4 breast cancer cases from GWU Hospital from 1997 to 2004, did an extensive chart review, and categorized them into IBC and LABC. Overall survival of IBC patients was worse compared to the LABC group.
CBWCHC - Charles B. Wang Community Health Center is a NCQA level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home. There are three sites in Lower Manhattan and two in Flushing, Queens, serving more than 52,000 patients and 280,000 service visits in 2016. All patients visiting the clinic regardless of ability to pay are provided with quality, comprehensive and culturally effective primary healthcare. Center has continuously expanded and grown to provide bilingual and bicultural healthcare services to underserved communities. To-day, the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center is a NCQA level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home. There are three sites in Lower Manhattan and two in Flushing, Queens, serving more than 52,000 patients and 280,000 service visits in 2016. All patients visiting the clinic regardless of ability to pay are provided with quality, comprehensive and culturally effective primary healthcare.
