During the sessions in India, in addition to Breast self exam and other vital Breast screening processes, other important aspects covered & important for each & every person to be aware of...1) Men can have Breast Cancer too, men have experiences of shock and embarrassment, battling the stigma of having a predominantly woman’s disease. We spread the word by sharing the true stories of our Male Breast Cancer Coalition brothers so that no man goes undetected 2) Mammograms can miss tumors due to issues with dense Breast. 3) BRCA mutation & need for genetic testing in families afflicted with Breast and Ovarian cancer & we shouldn't forget the men of the family to undergo the testing too.. 4) Stories of our Cancer advocates & our BCH support group are our pillars of strength & inspiration..5) Love & affection & palliative care.. 6) finally lifestyle and diet & other risk factors associated with cancer. Thank you Dr Himani Paul and Dr Debabrata Deb for inviting me & organizing the session & helping us to spread the word through your selfless gestures.
