February 29, 2020: Borakhai Tea Garden-BCH adopted village in Cachar district, Assam.
I am so surprised to meet each woman & man in the household addicted to any form of tobacco & mostly unaware of the consequesnces. We are trying to prohibit the intake of Paan-Gutka, Khaini, Maava, or tobacco in any form as that's contributing to oral cancer & other type of Cancer in North-East India and preaching about Healthy lifestyle as preventative measure.
We are going to each household for Cancer Screening (Breast, Oral & Cervical-the Top 3 cancers in India) & Awareness with each member of the family & if detected, we are coordinating with Cachar Cancer Hospital & following up on further diagnostics, treatment & patient management & care.
