Meeting the Cancer Conquerors of Indore (Sangini) will always remain one of my most memorable moments. As I went to meet Ms. Anuradha Saxena (4th April, 2024), an integral member of our Breast Cancer Hub (BCH) Support family, I left Indore, building a bigger family with the members of the Sangini Cancer Society. I was so touched to meet Ms.Sudarshan Sanyal, mother of Late Dr. Anupama Sanyal Negi (Founder of Sangini), Ms.Rupika Sanyal, Ms. Anuradha Saxena, Ms. Neha Airen, Ms. Vimmi Dawar, Ms. Chitra Kalrane, Ms. Rajmani Jain, Dr Sangita Gupta, Ms. Saroj Patil, Ms. Seema Natu, Ms. Praveena Vipat, Ms. Alpana Narayane, Ms.Madhu Lakhani, Ms. Komal Ramchandani, and Ms. Vijaylakshmi Gohar on 5th April, 2024. My heartfelt thanks to Sangini and MOC Cancer Care and Research Center for inviting me to speak about my journey with Breast Cancer Hub, in the urban and rural sectors. It was wonderful meeting and interacting with Dr. Taha Sethjiwala and Dr. Krushna Chaudhari, and we thank the MOC team for hosting the event.
I thank Ms.Rupika Sanyal and Ms. Anuradha Saxena for demonstrating the Lymphapress machine to me, huge support for lymphedema management, executed by the Sangini team as they also guide patients on proper bandaging techniques to minimize swelling - great work!
My utmost thanks to Mrs. Anuradha Saxena, Mr.Charudutt Saxena, and their family for accommodating me in their beautiful home, with so much warmth and affection, and also for helping with logistics within Indore. So grateful to Ms. Vimmi Dawar, for hosting the lunch in her sweet home, and for adding the flavors of love to the mouth-watering dishes prepared by Ms. Dawar and the Sangini members.Thank you, Ms. Alpana Narayane and Ms. Neha Airen for the beautiful photography captures. Can’t miss the amazing dance performance by Dr Sangita Gupta and Dr Ms.Rupika Sanyal - love the spirit!
