Breast Cancer Awareness Workshop with women from slums of Hyderabad organized by Kriti Social Initiatives, Hyderabad. It was a very fulfilling session with very positive outcomes. The concept of Breast self exam (BSE) was very new to the women & they were excited to take the BSE cards in Telugu & Hindi (The Urdu version's soft copy was sent to Mrs. Sreelata to be circulated in the network). Women came forward with many questions and issues which they were ignoring earlier. Heartfelt thanks to Mr. Clarence Gadapatifrom Charlotte, NC for his selfless gestures by helping me to connect to Mrs. Sreelata Chebrol, Trustee, who helped organize session. My sincere thanks to Mrs. Himani Gupta, founder of Kriti , working in the Film Nagar slums in Hyderabad , for supporting the cause. . The Film Nagar slum is a large slum of over 4000 households in the heart of the city.
