Pooja Patil - Summer 2020

My name is Pooja Patil and I am a senior at Cox Mill High school. I take particular interest in the math and science fields, and enjoy taking advantage of volunteering or any opportunity to help others.  I have been a part of Breast Cancer Hub for almost one and a half years now, since the Young Scientists Meet in 2019. In addition, I am a global ambassador as well as I have conducted a public speaking on breast cancer in India. Spreading awareness about early cancer detection is extremely important to me, as several of my close family friends have been diagnosed late. I am interested in a future in the medical field and Breast Cancer Hub has provided me with great opportunities to learn new things, share my knowledge, and continue to spread awareness in my community and in India.
