Jai Venkat - Summer 2020

Jai Venkat is a sophomore at Weddington High School in North Carolina. He has been working with Breast Cancer hub (BCH) since May 2019. Cancer research has been of interest to Jai for a few years now due to close family impacts and he wishes to continue working with BCH for years to come. Apart from his interest in science & math, Jai is a varsity wrestler at Weddington High. He plays the violin for the Youth Orchestra of Charlotte. Jai aspires to become an anesthesiologist. In addition Jai volunteers regularly with YMCA’s summer camps. Following is the list of Jai’s co-curricular activities

●       Volunteered At the YMCA Camp Boomerang ( A camp for disabled children)

●       Scuba Certified (Open water diver level II)

●       A member of DECA club, Debate Club, Mentor’s club and Environmental Club.

●       Co-founded Plant Native Trees NC - an organization that promotes planting native trees in North Carolina. In the last 2 years, planted and contributed to 750+ longleaf pine tree saplings
