BCH Volunteer

Region: Jharkhand, India

Humanitarian & Feminist.

Born and raised in small town of Jharkhand in a middle class household.  After completing my middle and high school education from Jharkhand, I wanted to be a doctor but due to mutual animosity with Physics, I surrendered and chose a different path. I pursued Bachelors in Medical Physiology & Masters in Biomedical Genetics with specialization in Genetic Counselling. I have certification from Board of Genetic Counselling-India as Level-1 Genetic Counselor.

I belong to a nuclear family including my parents, myself & a younger brother. Reticent personality, an avid reader with an eclectic taste in music. Passionate about sketching, writing and capturing moments in a frame. Biology enthusiast, K-entertainment lover, Canophilist & inquisitive about almost everything.

Mission Statement:

During my internship period as a trainee Cancer Genetic Counselor, I realized that not only people lack awareness about their own body but also about the environment, its severity on humans. The real and raw scenario is out there in front of everyone but sadly ignored.

Breast Cancer Hub is an initiative which educate and helps people for something which they perceive as taboo, i.e. Cancer. Cancer has lot of stigma attached to it and to break through the entourage is difficult. To be able to come to aid in creating awareness and providing support to the best of my knowledge.
