October 27, 2022: AmeriHealth Caritas, NC, USA (Medicaid Managed Care Plans): Thank you Denise Rivera Coladonato for reaching out to me to conduct a Seminar on cancer education for the Medicaid population you serve. Sincerely appreciate Denise Rivera and Pamela Segura for the great initiative and the beautiful execution of the event. We also discussed on collaborating to help our BCH North Carolina patients who are uninsured, considered to have low income or have experienced a job loss and may be eligible for Medicaid.
On behalf of Breast Cancer Hub, we distributed brochures with QR codes to download the Early detection cards, Educational resources to leverage, and contact information, so any suspicious case can reach out to me later. We also handed out a wristband with a combination color of pink representing breast cancer in women, blue representing breast cancer in men, and purple for all cancers along with bookmarks with the message of togetherness.

AmeriHealth Caritas opened a new Wellness and Opportunity Center located at 3120 Wilkinson Blvd in Charlotte. Free health workshops, cooking demonstrations, fitness and computer classes are offered each month. The Wellness Center also has a food pantry open twice month for our members and the public.
