Note from the Navigating Pre-Health

“ Navigating Pre-Health is a youth organization with an aim to to provide increased access to information and opportunities within the healthcare sector for pre-health high school students. Our programs include interviewing professionals and students within the healthcare field to provide career insight to interested high schoolers and making available such information for easy access. As part of a fundraising initiative through the organization, three members of our team, Madhura Manjunath, Sarayu Thondapu, and Lyn Dias, designed and taught a 5-week SAT preparation course in order to fundraise for Breast Cancer Hub and NC MedAssist. Our goal with this initiative was to support and donate to these nonprofit organizations who are making amazing efforts to improve aspects of healthcare while also providing our students with our insights into the SAT exam to help them achieve success. From this fundraiser, we were able to raise $600, of which 100% will be going towards Breast Cancer Hub and NC MedAssist. We are very grateful to have gotten this opportunity to donate to these nonprofits and to support their outreach programs which are benefitting thousands of people.
