I qualified as a doctor in 1999 and had been working in the NHS in UK as well as been an entrepreneur with a hospitality, real estate and medicine business. In July 2019, following an operation, I sustained a severe spinal cord injury leading to paralysis from waist down, and have been left permanently disabled. While I was just getting used to my ‘new normal’ I got diagnosed with cancer of the thyroid for which I had to have further surgeries. I didn’t want to give up on life yet. I’ve since published my first book ‘The Second Chance in Life and have become a Inspirational Speaker with the aim to raise awareness about cancer and disability and spread positivity, faith and resilience.

Mission statement

Being a doctor and a cancer patient, I have seen both sides of the fence and I wish to use my life experiences as a patient, and knowledge and skills as a doctor, to raise cancer awareness as well as bring the patient voice to the forefront.
