Kellogg School of Management’s Aparna Labroo is a consumer psychologist with a PhD. from Cornell University and previous faculty appointments at Chicago Booth and the University of Toronto. Her research identifies factors that nudge people to change their behaviors to undertake actions beneficial to them and to society in the long run, in a variety of contexts, including consumer choices, pro-social action, and financial and health decisions. Her research has featured in several leading media outlets, and at conferences, business schools and psychology departments worldwide. She is recipient of the Society for Consumer Psychology Early Career Award, is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Marketing Letters, has edited research compilations and been featured on numerous panels on how to promote Greater Good, and she serves on the editorial/advisory boards of several premier journals.
Mission Statement: Having observed from early childhood the almost universal but distinct challenges of persuading people to comply with healthcare action in their best interest, designing science-backed nudges to prompt such action has been my long-standing passion and guided my entire career. Through this connection, I hope to volunteer my expertise to have more substantial positive impact on saving lives.
