Founding member of the Research Division, SKCREC in the Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Centre. Main area of research is in investigation of predictive biomarkers in different solid tumors. Our team also supports molecular diagnostics and cancer genetics clinic in the institute. Taken initiative for DSIR SIRO certification of the institute from Ministry of Science and Technology, Gov. of India and IRB registration with CDSCO. Contributed in several grant writing as well as helped in fostering research collaborations with academic institutes like Tata Memorial Hospital, National Centre for Biological Sciences, Cancer Institute (WIA), Chennai etc.; and industrial institutes like Medgenome, Bangaluru. Raised multiple resources to support the treatment of poor cancer patients. Established Major Ashish Kumar Roy Foundation with friends to commemorate the life and ideals of Major Ashish through yearly organization of Badminton championship in Silchar. Principal initiator in key cancer awareness drive like Tata Trusts & NCG Run & ride 2018, North East Alliance against cancer with Assam ifles and many more.
