I am an electronics engineer by profession and ex Indian army Major (Corps of Engineering).
Post army I did my Business management course and was heading HR (west zone) of an MNC at Mumbai. I took a sabbatical when my children were born.
In 2016, i founded Hastkaam , a platform to showcase products of genuine weavers and artisans ...... It was my bit to help the artisans behind the handloom world.
I have seen so many genuine craftsmen or artisans remain in the backdrop even when they are the ones who do all the hard work behind the beautiful product. The middlemen and dealers get the benefit while the actual craftsman don't reap the benefits at all ... So I've tried to showcase their products so customers can get them directly. Wherever possible, I make it a point to inform everyone about who the weaver / artist is who is behind the amazing products. It is a venture dedicated to helping this community sustain themselves in the future times to come!! The link below will outline my background and also the initiation of Hastkaam.

Mission Statement:
