Born in the state of Assam, India on the 3rd of January., 1970

Acquired MBBS Degree from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, Assam in 1992

Awarded MD in Community Medicine, in 2000, from Assam Medical College.

Faculty in the Department of Community Medicine in various medical colleges in the state of Assam since 2001

Have worked in the preventive aspect of medicine specially related to immunization for children, safe motherhood & health education for balanced nutrition

Also involved in the implementation of various task force projects of Indian Council of Medical Research.

Family comprises of husband who is an Anesthesiologist, & two sons, aged 19 years and 13 years

An avid reader, and occasional writer

Mission statement:
My work involves frequent interactions with the community, which provides various opportunities to create awareness for breast cancer.

My organization (www.assammedicalcollege.in) is a government teaching hospital with an annual intake of 175 MBBS undergraduate and more than 200 number of Post graduate students.

As a faculty of a teaching institute, I can collaborate in the in-depth research projects of BCH
