Dr. Das is a pediatrician with over forty-seven years of experience. Dr. Das retired as Professor and Head of Pediatrics from Silchar Medical College, Assam. Dr. Das grew up in Dibrugarh/Digboi/Powaii, Upper Assam. He received his Higher Secondary schooling from St. Edmund’s College, Shillong (Meghalaya) and his MD from Assam Medical College in Dibrugarh, Assam. Dr Das is invited as Post Graduate (MD) examiner in various Medical Universities of India; as Guest speaker in various national CME and annual conferences, Board members of Medical organizations. Dr. Das loves teaching and many of his students are spread all over the world and he is proud of all their achievements. Dr. Das is currently associated with many organizations and spends his time treating his pediatric patients and is passionately serving the society.
Mission Statement:
My one sorrow in life was that my daughter Lopa could not become a physician in her life as I knew how much she loved healthcare. But now I am doubly happy that she has become someone trying to find cure for Cancer through her research.
I am really enjoying being associated with her selfless dedicated activities. Her work on awareness to prevent breast cancer is unique concept and her whole family has become so much involved. I really appreciate the efforts and am sure this whole project will rock the world.
In addition, I will imbibe the awareness in the mothers who come to me with their babies/kids. I plan to give out the Breast self-examination cards in the local languages to the families of my pediatric patients. I can also talk about Breast cancer awareness, embarrassment and taboo to the patients’ families when I attend camps for my pediatric patient outreach
