Internship: BCH collaboration with ADP College
Breast Cancer Hub, in collaboration with Anandaram Dhekial Phookan College, Nagaon, Assam, India, offers an internship program for Undergraduate students who volunteer to work in rural and urban areas to create awareness on Breast Cancer in men and women, early detection, and self-screening protocols. The students are trained through workshops by mentor Dr. Lopamudra Das Roy and participate in outreach programs and surveys. Upon completing the internship, they are awarded a certificate of merit and recognition on August 10, 2024.
33 Students from the Departments of Zoology and Chemistry have participated in the program since its inception in the year 2021, contributing significantly to the cause and making us all proud of their dedication and hard work. The Program aims to build capacity and shape youths into life ambassadors who will help Save Lives and commit to community service.
We are deeply thankful to Sri Suranjan Bhowal, Hod Dept. Of Zoology, and Dr. Afifa Kausar, Assistant Professor, ADP College, for your tremendous support and maintenance of this collaboration, without whom this program wouldn’t have been successful.
