JYOTI RAJANI, SHARES HER MOTIVATIONAL STORY…
AN INSPIRATION TO THE MANKIND
OUR HERO
Jyoti Rajani’s Journey in her own words...
I will describe myself in one word – FIGHTER
Polio was a gift of God to me by birth, my parents tried many doctors, nuskas, and hakims but nothing worked, over the time I got a limp in my left leg while walking, I was operated on twice for my left leg but nothing worked but my boldness and courage didn’t let my weakness overpower me and my Bold attitude and glamorous clothing style made me a style ICON during my college tenure.
Post-graduation I met with a road accident, It left deep scars over my face and body but I recovered from the same and got married soon.
As my life was going smooth, suddenly I faced a major roadblock in Jan 2021, I was detected with Breast Cancer Stage IV. I was disheartened for a day but soon I gathered all the courage to fight the disease. My entire treatment was done privately at Tata Hospital – Parel, I underwent 8 chemo’s along with mastectomy surgery followed by 5 radiations. The most challenging was the last 4 chemo cycles which caused me constipation, loss of taste, and appetite during this process I lost ten kgs from 58kgs moved down to 48 kgs. But with a Good diet and exercise, I regained my strength.
Amidst the recovery phase i.e.. post my radiation soon I had a fall in the market area which led to a hip fracture. My orthopedic surgeon recommended full bed rest and walking only with the help of a walker, post 2 months of the accident, I am doing better and there is a good recovery.
My journey hasn’t been all smooth. I faced a lot of challenges physically as well as mentally but with good food, a positive attitude, family support, and my cat’s love, I am recovering and soon will travel to Amritsar to seek God’s blessings. Amritsar Golden temple to visit and express my gratitude towards this beautiful life.
Just sharing my journey for people to get inspired and stay motivated during hard times. Stay Positive Eat Healthy
