A message from Mr. Sandeep Asija about our beautiful Dr Paromita:
Dr. Paromita Das Asija of Andover, MA USA passed away peacefully in March 2023 after suffering from cancer. She was 49, and is survived by her husband, Sandeep Asija. Dr. Asija was born to reputed doctor parents Dr. Tapadhir Das and Dr. Kalpana Das in Silchar India. She had a loving childhood, upbringing in caring environment along with six siblings, achievement in finest education including medicine from Silchar Medical College & Hospital in Silchar, India, accomplishment as a renowned OBGYN in many hospitals. Dr. Asija was a beautiful soul inside and outside who only gave love, affection, respect, and everything she had, including giving the best lifetime memories to thousands of parents by delivering and handing over their newborns. She moved to Massachusetts USA after her marriage to Mr. Sandeep Asija, a current resident in Andover Massachusetts. She always remained a compassionate daughter, dedicated sister, loyal friend, loving wife, devoted daughter-in-law, and caring mother, but most importantly a great human being who touched many lives, won plenty of hearts, and will always stay alive in our hearts and minds. She was arguably the best Indian vocal singer wherever she lived, a great dancer, an avid runner who would run 10k daily, motivator to many, awarded heavily throughout her life, but most importantly a hero who fought the battle of colon rectal cancer with her famous beautiful smile, while undergoing seven major surgeries, months of hospitalization, chemotherapies, trials, and radiations in last six years. She lived as a deity by blessing and giving everything that she had to humanity, and she also departed peacefully as a goddess after listening to Hanuman Chalisa (a Hindu devotional hymn) at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Asija was cremated with full Hindu rites at Cremation Society of New Hampshire, Manchester, New Hampshire USA, on March 19th, 2023, and her Hindu services/prayers were held on March 18th, 2023, and March 25th, 2023, at her residence at Andover Massachusetts. Her cremation, services, prayers were widely attended by hundreds of grieving family members, and friends, not only from New England area, but also from Toronto Canada, Delhi/NCR India, Silchar India, Sylhet Bangladesh and various other parts of the world. She will always be remembered with love and affection.
We thank Mr. Asija and Dr Paromita's family for giving us the opportunity to carry Dr. Paromita's legacy.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Dr Lopamudra Das Roy , on behalf of BCH family
