The pillar of BCH – Late Dr Chandra Sekhar Das, MD, DCH, FCGP

An eminent pediatrician whose passion & life revolved around his pediatric patients, even when his health gave up, his spirits didn’t give in & he served the children till he left us on 22nd February, 2020. Dr Das has helped BCH tremendously from the beginning by helping with financial support, BCH netowrk in India & also he himself persistenly conducted outreaches and sessions for the moms of his pediatric patients and gave out the breast self exam cards & navigated them towards the healthcare system with suspicious cases. His selfless service to the mankind is unparalled . The innumberable lives he saved is unprecedented .. even the evening he was hospitalized, the same day morning, he didn’t return his patients though his health was draining, he died serving. I am blessed to be born as the daughter of legendery Dr Das who believed in work as worship & service to mankind, as the greatest service to God. I hope God gives me the strength to follow the steps of my father, Dr C. S. Das.
