I am an academician with expertise in bioprocess engineering and microbial biotechnology. After completing my Ph.D. at IIT Delhi in 2013, I worked at the University of Westminster, London, and the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong for my postdoctoral training. During this time, I worked on continuous bioprocessing, integrated bioconversion-separation systems, biomaterials production for biomedical devices, small RNA-based biotherapeutics. This led to my first faculty position at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2017, where I developed by independent research program focused on microbial bioprocessing and bio-based products for environmental and biomedical applications. I am self-driven and love my work. Personally, I am a family-oriented person and like to spend time with my family, engage in all kinds of activities including playing games, traveling, decorating, cooking, or just hanging around with family.

Mission Statement:

Being a caregiver for my mother who fought cancer 5 times and has experienced the ‘life with cancer’ second-hand, I strongly believe and agree with the importance of early and timely detection of cancer. The role of Chapter Director at BCH would give me the opportunity to spread this awareness and guide people in a structured & efficient manner.
