Region: Bengaluru/Jodhpur India

Savita did her MCA from MBM Engineering college Jodhpur in year 2006. She is having 12+ years of IT experience and currently working as principal consultant in Genpact, Bengaluru.

She also did IGDCS course from Banjara Academy, Bengaluru in Jan 2017, since she was always interested to work with people and for society.

Coming from the region where girl’s education was not encouraged, she was the first girl in her family who formally went to school and finally did her Masters.

Savita was diagnosed with stage 2 ER/PR positive Breast cancer in Nov 2018. She finished her treatment in July 2019.  She is mother of 7 year old boy and enjoys traveling and reading.

Mission Statement:

While on treatment she realized that, there is lot of stigma around cancer and especially with breast cancer. Along with this women are shy and avoid talking about breast and hence lack of awareness. A patient goes through emotional /physical/financial pain/crisis when diagnosed with cancer. If it can be detected on time, many lives can be saved.

She wants to work in spreading the awareness, counsel the patients and caregivers and removing the stigma around it. Breast Cancer Hub has given her the platform to work in these areas. She feels honored and grateful to be part of BCH family.
